WinC Creative Conference: Pridefest 2024

On Saturday, June 29, 2024, Women in Comics Collective International (WinC for short, pronounced “wink”) is hosting a Creative Conference: Pridefest at Flushing Town Hall in NYC from 10 AM to 5 PM.

WinC started in May 2012 as an artistic and informative initiative serving to highlight the merit and craftwork of marginalized voices. They focus especially on women, gender non-conforming, and Queer folx of color, who work in various industries, such as comics, publishing, gaming, media, education, and multimedia.

WinC’s Pridefest is free and open to the public, a testament to their commitment of keeping events accessible and inclusive to those who cannot afford commercial comic cons. The general admission comes with a standard swag bag, while the VIP ticket is $15 with a deluxe swag bag included. Individuals are also free to purchase a ticket of any price, counted as a donation to WinC to help them put on more events in the future.

“During WinC Pridefest, guests will have an opportunity to celebrate and hone their creative power, events like these are transformative!” says Regine Sawyer, Curator and Founder of the Women in Comics Collective International.
