First introduced in Transformers the Movie, Sharkticons have been portrayed as simple minded soldiers created by the Quintessons and kept at a low level of intelligence so they wouldn’t rebel. Hot Rod and Kup had a demolition derby battle with them before Grimlock put his foot down, so to speak.
