TRANSFORMERS GS DK-2 Guard VS eHobby Black Ironhide – Versus Review

This Transformers Versus Review features the Generations Selects Legacy DK-2 Guard vs the eHobby Exclusive Black Protect Ironhide. Captain Kyle examines both of these figures and you get to decide which Autobot is best!

The DK-2 Guard from Generations Selects is part of the Transformers Legacy line and is an homage to the Diaclone version of Ironhide, which was black instead of red. No real information is given about this character, but he is a repaint of the Earthrise Ironhide.

The eHobby Black “Protect” Ironhide is actually identified as an upgraded Ironhide, with the paint job adding extra protection (which may just be the disguise, or may be some form of extra armor) and changing his color to disguise himself in order to protect Optimus Prime more effectively. While it is an homage to the original Diaclone toy, it also may be an acknowledgment of his new coloration in the live-action movies as a black pickup truck.
