As we previously reported, Smallville actress Allison Mack found herself under investigation and later charged for activities related to the cult NXIVM. Allison Mack was sentenced to 3 years in prison for her involvement in the cult. Mack was accused of recruiting women to join a secret subdivision of the cult, called DOS. The women of DOS were known as slaves, they were branded with the leader of NXIVM, Keith Raniere’s, initials, were instructed to have sex with him, and were blackmailed if they tried to leave or tell anyone. The actress expressed her remorse in court, stating, “I renounce Keith Raniere and all his teachings,” and that her regret was from “the deepest part of my heart and soul.”

Tom Welling, who acted alongside Mack, recently broke his silence on his former co-star and former friend. During an appearance at Fan Expo Vancouver this weekend during a Smallville panel. The question came up when Welling was pressed on an animated follow-up to Smallville.

Welling rattled off some actors he hopes to bring back. As for Mack, Welling’s only remark was “It might be tough to get Allison.”
