Star Trek Picard Season 1 Episode 5, “Stardust City Rag,” brings Jean Luc and his merry band to Freecloud, an oddly named planet that looks like something out of Blade Runner. An adventure ensues that is similar to Picard’s old Dixon Hill mysteries, but for higher stakes. And Seven of Nine makes an impact. WARNING: Spoilers for this episode.
Hot on the trail of Bruce Maddox, Jean Luc Picard and his crew deal with criminals of the worst sort. An old enemy of Seven of Nine, who has a desire to pick former Borg clean of all their components, even if it kills them, turns out to have Maddox and a con of sorts is devised. Q Judges this attempt at spy craft by those ill suited to it. However, there are a few twists and things are revealed. Plus, the location of Soji is finally revealed to Picard.
Star Trek Picard S01E05 finally puts all the pieces in place for Jean Luc to rescue Soji. Also, Q rants more about the money thing, since so many pitiable humans had opinions.
