Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Trailer Debuts

Sonic The Hedgehog fans, are you ready? After the success of the first film, the trailer for the sequel is finally here! In the first trailer for the follow-up film, we watch as Sonic faces off against Dr. Robotnik who is role is reprised by Jim Carrey once again.

The first film in this series set the record for the biggest opening weekend for a video game film in the United States and Canada. Its ticket sales caused it to set to break records as the sixth-highest-grossing film of 2020 and the highest-grossing video game film adaptation of all time in North America.

What adventures will Sonic the Hedgehog go on in this exciting sequel? Sonic is reprised by the voice talents of Ben Schwartz, and his sidekick Tails is voiced by Colleen O’Shaughnessey as they try to prevent Doctor Eggman and Knuckles the Echidna from finding the Master Emerald.

Actors James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, and Shemar Moore will be reprising their roles from the first film. Idris Elba will be the newest addition to the cast in the role of Knuckles the Echidna.

This film is directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 hits theaters on April 8, 2022.  Check out the trailer here:
