New ‘Prey for the Devil’ Trailer Sees A Young Nun Enter An Exorcist Battlefield

Lionsgate has released a brand new trailer for its upcoming exorcism horror movie, Prey for the Devil – which you can check out below.

Released just in time for Halloween, the film follows the efforts of the catholic church as it reopens exorcism schools to prepare priests to enter the battlefield for war between good and evil.

The film’s full synopsis reads:

Sister Ann believes she is answering a calling to be the first female exorcist… but who, or what, called her?  In response to a global rise in demonic possessions, Ann seeks out a place at an exorcism school reopened by the Catholic Church. Until now these schools have only trained priests in the Rite of Exorcism – but a professor recognizes Sister Ann’s gifts and agrees to train her. Thrust onto the spiritual frontline with fellow student Father Dante, Sister Ann finds herself in a battle for the soul of a young girl, who Sister Ann believes is possessed by the same demon that tormented her own mother years ago. Determined to root out the evil, Ann soon realizes the Devil has her right where he wants her.

Prey for the Devil sees Jacqueline Byers star as Sister Ann, alongside Colin Salmon, Christian Navarro, Nicholas Ralph, Ben Cross and the original Candyman’s Virginia Madsen.

Daniel Stamm (The Last Excorcism) is tasked with directing the film which is written by Robert Zappia, Earl Richey and Jones Todd R. Jones.

Prey for the Devil arrives in theatres on October 28th.
