Sony has released the third and final trailer for their upcoming release, Morbius.
This latest installment of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe stars Jared Leto as Michael Morbius, a scientist who, in trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transforms himself into a living vampire. Though disgusted by his own bloodlust, he chooses to prey upon criminals he deems unworthy of life.
The official synopsis for the film reads:
Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. While at first it seems to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed. Will good override evil – or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious new urges?
This final trailer focuses on the inner conflict that Morbius faces, with influences around him trying to pave his way forward. We also get a lot more footage of Michael Keaton, who is expected to reprise his role as The Vulture.
Morbius is finally set to release in theatres on April 1st.
