Michelle Yeoh & Jamie Lee Curtis Enter A24’s Multiverse in ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’

The multiverse is expanding beyond Marvel and DC.

A24, the production company behind feature films Hereditary and Midsommer, has released a trailer for their latest release ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once,’ and it promises to be a wild ride.

Usually known for their work in the horror genre, A24 has never shied away from creating unique and often bizarre content. If the trailer is anything to go by, this latest endeavor will certainly have people talking.

A description of the film reads:

“An aging Chinese immigrant is swept up in an insane adventure, where she alone can save the world by exploring other universes connecting with the lives she could have led.”

Michelle Yeoh (‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,’ Tomorrow Never Dies) stars as Evelyn Wang, “an exhausted Chinese American woman who can’t seem to finish her taxes.” Jamie Lee-Curtis (Halloween, True Lies) also stars in what looks like a pivotal supporting role.

It looks like those taxes are going to have to wait, for the benefit of humanity of course…

The film also stars Ke Huy Quan (Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom), Stephanie Hsu, Jenny Slate (Obvious Child), Harry Shum Jr (Crazy Rich Asians) and James Hong (Blade Runner).

Yeoh’s schedule continues to rise having recently appeared in Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. She is also scheduled to appear in the Witcher prequel series, as well as signing on for James Cameron’s Avatar sequels.

Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels, will helm the film. The movie is the first feature from Daniels since 2016’s Swiss Army Man – an experimental piece that starred Paul Dano opposite Daniel Radcliffe as a sentient corpse. As their first follow-up, Everything Everywhere All at Once is expected to be just as inventive, bonkers and unpredictable.

The film looks set to blend science fiction elements such as the concept of a multi-verse and split-consciousness, with horror, action and comedy. A concoction that promises to be wild and fantastical.

Following an initial release at the SXSW premiere, A24 will release Everything Everywhere All at Once in theaters on March 25, 2022.
