It’s-a-me, Garfield! Chris Pratt Nabs Another Voice Role

Many fans of Mario were outraged when Chris Pratt was cast as the voice of Mario, especially since Charles Martinet is quite capable of performing in the role. Now it has been announced that Chris Pratt will also be voicing the laziest cat ever in an upcoming Garfield movie. Is Chris Pratt such a hot commodity that he should be voicing two iconic roles? Is he truly the one to take over for the legendary Frank Welker? Be ready in the upcoming months for all the lasagna jokes, Andy Dwyer pictures with Garfield quotes, and what may be an even crazier cast of costars. Here’s my submission:

This casting has me wondering a very important question: why Garfield? Wouldn’t Pratt make a better Jon Arbuckle?

Which animated movie do you think will get released first, Garfield or Mario? And will voicing these characters be a worse move for Star-Lord than what he did in Infinity War? Time will tell.
