Hellraiser Reboot Teaser Reveals October Release Date On Hulu

A short teaser for the upcoming Hellraiser reboot has confirmed that the film will land on Hulu on October 7th, and you can check it out below.

The film, which is directed by David Bruckner (The Ritual, The Night House), is described as a reimagining of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic with Barker himself back on board as a producer.

In this version of Hellraiser, “a young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.”

The film has recently been rated R for:

“Strong bloody horror violence and gore, language throughout, some sexual content, and brief graphic nudity.”

The ensemble cast includes Odessa A’zion (Fam, Grand Army), Adam Faison (Everything’s Gonna Be Okay, Yes Day), Drew Starkey (Outer Banks, The Devil All the Time), Brandon Flynn (Ratched, 13 Reasons Why), Aoife Hinds (The Long Call, Normal People), Jason Liles (Stereoscope, Rampage), Yinka Olorunnife (The Transporter), Selina Lo (Boss Level, Q8 Unleashed), Zachary Hing (Halo), Kit Clarke (Leonardo), with Goran Visnjic (The Boys, Timeless) and Hiam Abbass (Succession, Blade Runner 2049).

There’s also more good news for fans of the franchise as a Hellraiser television series is also in the works, with David Gordon Green (Halloween 2018, Halloween Kills) set to direct the pilot. Clive Barker is also set to serve as executive producer on the project.
