G1 Transformers voice actors Hal Rayle and Gregg Berger gave a panel at TFCon Baltimore 2021 to discuss their roles in this iconic cartoon, talk about their careers, discuss voice acting and answer fan questions. They also pay tribute to Jack Angel, who died on October 19, 2021.
Hal Rayle portrayed the Insecticon Shrapnel, the Dinobot Snarl and the Autobot Pipes (and a few other characters) in the G1 Transformers cartoon. He’s also known for his roles in G.I. Joe, Defenders of the Earth, Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light, Bionic Six, Jim Henson’s Little Muppet Monsters, Darkwing Duck, Back to the Future (animated), and the voice of The Predator in Predator 2, among many other roles.
Gregg Berger plays the Dinobot Leader, Grimlock, in the G1 Transformers series, along with Skyfire, Long Haul, Outback and various other voices. He is also known as Odie in Garfield, plus voice roles in G.I. Joe, Jem, Toxic Crusaders, Spacecats, Spider-Man: The Animated Series and more. His live-action roles include appearances on St. Elsewhere, One Day at a Time, Perfect Strangers and many more.
