Breaking: The Loss of Two Beloved TV Icons

Today we’ve lost two favorites of television from wholly different eras.

First, TMZ reported Friends regular James Michael Tyler has passed away at the age of 59. Tyler is best known for the role of Gunther in Friends, a regular Barista at Central Perk.  He was a fan favorite, and was known as “the 7th friend.” In addition to Friends, he appeared in Scrubs, Sabrina: The Teenage Witch, and was in a short series called Modern Music. He passed after battling stage 4 prostate cancer and is survived by his partner Jennifer Carno.

From casual coffee to crime curtailing, the superhero world lost a legendary figure as well. Joanna Cameron, best known for her role in The Secrets of Isis from 1975 to 1976. She fought villains in the same era of television as fellow DC superhero Wonder Woman. Also appearing on Shazam!, McMillan & Wife, and The Amazing Spider-Man. Cameron passed on Friday the 22nd of October, due to complications from a stroke. Her costar in The Secrets of Isis, Joanna Pang Atkins, reported her passing on Twitter.
