BLACK TRAILBLAZERS IN ANIME Panel – Anime NYC 2021

Talents Zeno Robinson, Arthell Isom, Anairis Quiñones, A.J. Beckles and Jordan Bentley gave a panel at Anime NYC 2021 to discuss their careers and the challenges they faced as black creators in the anime industry, which historically has lacked diversity.

Zeno Robinson is a voice actor known for his work in My Hero Academia, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, Young Justice, Hawks, Big City Greens, Pokemon, The Owl House, Attack on Titan and many more.

Arthell Isom is a background artist who has worked on Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Bleach the Movie: Hell Verse, XXXHOLiC, Gintama: The Movie and more.

Anairis Quiñones is a voice actress known for her roles in RWBY, Rainbow High, Attack on Titan, Wonder Egg Priority, Horimiya, Record of Ragnarok, Re: Zero, Starting Life in Another World, My Street: Phoenix Drop High (Lucinda) and many more.

A.J. Beckles is a voice actor known for Baki Hanma, Tokyo Revengers, High Guardian Spice, Kemono Jihen and more.

Jordan Bentley is the owner of Hypland, an anime-themed streetwear brand that collaborates with popular anime brands such as Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh and Hello Kitty.
