6 Wizard World Events Join the FAN EXPO Family

Wizard World Comic-Con has been a staple in the convention community; it was their first con for many. On Tuesday, August 10, 2021, Wizard World announced that it would be joining the FAN EXPO family.  This includes Wizard World Philadelphia, as well as New Orleans, Portland, Cleveland, St. Louis, and Chicago.

The Wizard World conventions will be receiving a rebrand that better suits the branding of Fan Expo. In addition to the rebrand, fans can expect a much larger and immersive con experience. Wizard World and Fan Expo will be working together to create a smooth transition to ensure that fans continue to get the same con experiences they love but with a new upgrade.  This merger will honor all prior commitments with fans, exhibitors, and artisans. Wizard World will continue to operate the Wizard World Vault and participate at all FAN EXPO events. So, the Wizard World name won’t disappear entirely.

FAN EXPO will be sending out surveys to learn what fans will miss most about Wizard World and what fans hope to see at FAN EXPO Philadelphia in 2022 and beyond.  If you wish to be a part of the transition, be sure to check your emails for that opportunity.  Fan Expo will also email exclusive content and contests, ticket information, and up-to-the-minute show news.

Though many will feel sad to say goodbye to Wizard World, it isn’t really gone. It’s just preserving on as Fan Expo.
