The Batman’s Star Confirms “No-Kill Rule” / New Rogues Gallery Posters

The Batman has released another promotional poster ahead of the film’s release. This one features Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne/Batman and the rogues gallery members who will star alongside him.

The poster furthers questions the intentions of The Batman’s leading villain The Riddler, played by Paul Dano. Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman and Colin Farrell’s Penguin also take center stage.

Check it out below.

While the trailers have made it clear The Riddler is targeting Batman, it remains unclear whether he knows the identity of the man behind the cowl.

Check out the film’s full synopsis below.

“When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.”

In other The Batman-related news, Robert Pattinson has confirmed that his Dark Knight will adhere to Batman’s “no-kill” rule. Although The Batman trailers and TV spots have hinted at a more unhinged version of the character, it appears the film will stay faithful to traditional policy.

Speaking to France’s Premiere Magazine, Pattinson said, “There is this rule with Batman: he must not kill. It can be interpreted in two ways. Either he only wants to inflict the appropriate punishment, or he wants to kill, and his self-control prevents him from doing so.”

The Batman arrives in cinemas on March 4th.
