Suicide Squad Game Will Have Extra Content After Launch

Playstation hosted its first showcase of 2023 and it was packed with details about The Suicide Squad game.

King Shark, Harley Quinn, and Deadshot from the suicide squad game.

The new trailer shows Brainiac corrupting the Flash, and The suicide squad then taking on a boss battle. The demo showed off each character’s unique special moves. For example, Deathstroke can fly with his jetpack, Harley Quinn can swing around and do acrobatics to avoid getting hit, Captain Boomerang can hit multiple enemies at once, and King Shark can deal the most damage and take the most hits. The trailer ends with Wonder Woman being revealed as the only Justice League member not corrupted.

The second video shown is a behind-the-scenes preview with the developers at Rocksteady Studios. They mentioned that the game’s story takes place 5 years after Batman: Arkham Knight and that this game is from the villains’ perspective. Branic has mind-controlled the Justice League so it’s up to the suicide Squad to be the anti-hero the world needs.

The game can be played with up to 4 players online but you can also play it solo. Every weapon is upgradeable and there will be unique unlockable outfits. Seeing Harley Quinn cosplaying as Wonder Woman is an example of the unique costumes we can expect.

Rocksteady confirmed there will be a battle pass and long-term plans to support the game. There will be new characters (I’m hoping for Peacemaker DLC) and more outfits in the future. It is likely it will be a mix of free and premium content with the battle pass.

The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice league Will be released on May 25th. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam PC.
