Samantha Newark (Jem, The Transformers) Interview

From the cartoon Jem and the Holograms, meet voice actress and singer Samantha Newark! At Retro Con 2018, we interviewed this totally outrageous talent!

Probably responsible for more children getting their hair dyed in the 80’s than any other show, Jem was a cartoon that combined music and adventure in new, fun ways. We spoke to the voice of Jem, Samantha Newark, about the effect it had on hair and various musical artists like Pink and Britney Spears. Samantha, in addition to voicing Jem and Ariel from The Transformers, has also lent her voice to videos games. But she is a real life musical talent, having released an album last year and having music featured in many different shows like Smallville and an impressive discography of her own!
