Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City Movie Trailer Is Here

Resident Evil fans are you ready? Sony Pictures Entertainment has just dropped a brand-new trailer for the upcoming live-action film, Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City. Based on the horror video game franchise, this film marks the seventh Resident Evil movie in the franchise. This film will act as a reboot for the franchise as the last theatrical release was Resident Evil: The Final Chapter back in 2016.

Welcome to Racoon City takes place in Raccoon City and will feature the series’ central characters Claire Redfield, Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine, and Chris Redfield. The official synopsis for the film reads:

In RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY, once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.

This newest Resident Evil film is set to get back to the roots of the original and take more inspiration from video games which is full of tense moments and plenty of scares.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City will be released in theatres on November 24th. Check out the trailer here:
