A trailer for the next game in the hit franchise Final Fantasy 16 was shown during the showcase. From the looks of the trailer, this looks and feels like a different game. However, there is a very cute dog in the game. So maybe worth buying just for that.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach

The little horror game that could, Five Night’s at Freddy’s, has gotten a major upgrade! The game is sleek, vibrant, and still creepy as hell. The trailer is reminiscent of Starcourt from season 3 of Stranger Things.

Hogwarts Legacy*

If you always wanted to go to Hogwarts, this is the game for you. Hogwarts Legacy, allows you to create your character and live the life of a wizard or witch. Check out the trailer for this immersive game.

*Many are calling for a boycott of this game in light of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling’s recent and past statements on transgender people. Check out this Twitter thread for more info.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – $49.99/$69.99

Probably the breakout star of the PS5 Showcase was the trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Which isn’t surprising, since Into the Spider-verse was a box-office smash! Fans want more of Miles Morales, and the PS5 is going to give it to them. There are two versions of this game. There is the standard edition that costs $49.99 and the ultimate edition that costs $69.99. The ultimate edition will include a remastered version of the original Spider-Man game.

If you would like to see every trailer from the PS5 Showcase, there is a playlist on PlayStation’s official YouTube Channel.
