GARDEN STATE COMIC FEST SPOTLITE – The Future of Cons

Garden State Comic Fest co-organizer Dave O’Hare spoke to us about the recent comic book show they held in January of this year and the future of Garden State Comic Fest with a Summer Edition and Great Adventure Edition. Plus, he announces the dates for the next Garden State Comic Fest here!

Garden State Comic Fest is run by Dave O’Hare and Sal Zurzolo and usually has at least three events per year. This convention focuses on comic books and the artists and writers behind them. While they do have celebrity guests in usual times, they have always promoted the comic book creators as the true stars of their show.

They recently held a comic book show, their Winter Edition, which featured artists, writers, vendors, cosplayers and more. They followed every guideline and procedure to keep the staff, vendors, guests and attendees safe. The end result was zero COVID exposures or infections for their three-day event. Dave details the precautions taken and credits the fans for complying with the safety measures.

Dave revealed the dates for the upcoming 2021 Summer Edition of Garden State Comic Fest and the potential dates for the Great Adventure edition, which is held in the Great Adventure Theme Park, which is filled with rides for fans of DC Comics and Superheroes.
