Dawson and Saldana join La Borinqueña to Mobilize Voters

Fandom actresses Zoe Saldana (Avengers: Endgame, Avatar, Star Trek) and Rosario Dawson (The Mandalorian, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War) join Voto Latino and Leader Stacey Abrams’ Fair Fight to mobilize Latinx voters in Georgia for the runoff elections.

Voto Latino co-founder and actor Rosario Dawson will voice La Borinqueña, the hero of the graphic novel series by Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, in three PSAs encouraging voter registration in Georgia and proving important election information to Georgia’s voters. Zoe Saldana, actor, activist, and Voto Latino Impact Council Co-Chair, will voice La Borinqueña in the Spanish-language version of the PSA.

“I created La Borinqueña to not only be a superhero featured in her own independently published graphic novel series but to be a symbol for social justice in the real world via our philanthropy and activism,” said Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, creator of La Borinqueña.

“Therefore, it is an honor for us to have our Afro-Latinx character take a stand for voting rights and exclaim ¡Georgia con ganas! in these runoff elections.”
