DRAGON CON 2021 SPOTLITE – The Future of Cons

Dragon Con is the largest fan run fandom convention in the United States and likely the world. Boasting 80,000 attendees on average per year prior to the pandemic, fans flock to this con as a Mecca for Cosplayers, Sci-Fi Nerds, Comic Book Fans and so many more. Dan Carroll, the Media Engagement Director of Dragon Con, spoke to us about having to cancel the live show in 2020 and the virtual one that replaced it, plus we speak about this year’s live show and what they anticipate as far as attendance, celebrities and procedures.

Dragon Con is held in 5 host hotels, plus the America’s Mart complex, in the heart of Atlanta, GA. With loads of celebrities and tracks for fans of just about every fandom, this convention attracts people from around the world.
