Doctor Who actors Janet Fielding and Sophie Aldred gave a panel at the LI Who Meglos 2022 to talk about their experiences returning to their classic roles as Tegan and Ace for The Power of the Doctor. Check out these highlights!
Janet Fielding played Tegan on Doctor Who from 1981 to 1984 for 65 episodes and reprised her role in The Power of the Doctor 2022 special. She also appeared in The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot in 2013. Other roles she’s known for are in Murphy’s Mob, Blind Justice, Prisoner Zero, and Hold the Back Page. She also has provided the voice of Tegan in the Big Finish Doctor Who audio adventures.
Sophie Aldred played Ace on Doctor Who for 31 episodes from 1987-1989. She also portrayed the character in several TV specials and, obviously, for The Power of the Doctor special in 2022. She is also known for her voice acting in shows such as Tree Fu Tom, Bob the Builder, Peter Rabbit, and many more. In addition, she has reprised her character in the Big Finish audio dramas.
