TRANSFORMERS Studio Series 86 IRONHIDE vs Masterpiece KO – Review

In Transformers, Ironhide has been the grizzled old Autobot warrior who stood by Optimus Prime through thick and thin. His Generation One toy, though, left a bit to be desired. But here, Captain Kyle compared the new Studio Series 86 version of Ironhide to a knockoff Masterpiece version that’s similar in price. You decide which one is better.

Ironhide has been a popular character (though it’s hard to think of many G1 characters that aren’t popular at all) since he was introduced in 1984. However, the G1 toy looked nothing like his appearance in the cartoon and he only was true to that form in the first issue of the Marvel Comic. However, there have been a number of versions of Ironhide since, many of whom are much closer to the cartoon character we wanted. In this video, two of these are put to the test, as the new Studio Series 86 Ironhide, based on Transformers the Movie, is put up against a KO version of the Masterpiece Ironhide. Which Autobot toy is better? You decide.

TRANSFORMERS ELITA-1 EarthSpark Warrior Class Review

Transformers EarthSpark Elita-1 is the latest version of the toy we never got back in the eighties. This Warrior-Class toy is apparently a size class for more core or basic-sized toys in this line. Though it does seem slightly larger than a core class. This Autobot, known as Optimus Prime’s main squeeze, is modeled after her show character and Captain Kyle reviews it to see if it would fit in your collection.

Elita-1, or Elita-One, was once known as Ariel 9 million or so years ago, but when Alpha Trion rebuilt Orion Pax into Optimus Prime, he also rebuilt Ariel into Elita-One. And gave her a wonky power that kills her if she uses it. While the character didn’t get a toy during her introduction, years later she would get various versions, having her transform not only into a land vehicle but also a jet plane and a boat. Captain Kyle examines this new version, which is some kind of SUV or armored car, to see if it’s cool enough for you.

TRANSFORMERS Megatron Earthspark Deluxe Review

Megatron. In many Transformers shows, he’s the evil leader of the Decepticons, bent on conquest and stealing all the energy he can. But in Earthspark, he is no longer evil. He is allied with Optimus Prime and part of GHOST, a special alliance of Transformers and flesh crea… I mean, humans… who protect the world from the Decepticons that are still at large. Captain Kyle examines this toy to see if he’s a good representation of the show character and good for your collection.

Megatron, in Earthspark, gave up his plans for conquest after Optimus Prime destroyed the space bridge, which was the Cybertronian’s only link back to their home planet. Both Optimus Prime and Megatron have replaced their faction symbols with the GHOST symbol. So it’s no longer Autobot vs Decepticon, but a somewhat united group of Transformers helping out. Except for those pesky renegade Decepticons, who consider Megatron a traitor.

TRANSFORMERS Style Mini PISTOL Robots Set Review

Transformers has a few characters who become guns. Megatron, Browning, Shockwave, Sixshot, Quickswitch, Targetmaster partners, etc. These toys are not Transformers or knock-offs but can transform from robots to very realistic, though small-scale, pistols. Captain Kyle checks out these fun little bots to see if they’d fit in your collection.

This video is sponsored by the great folks at 80stees.com. Check out their high-quality graphic t-shirts and use coupon code TOYSPOTLITE80 to get 30% off your order. Head on over to https://www.80stees.com today!

The full name for this toy is “Alloy Steel Armor Beast Transformation Toys Action Figure Model Children’s Boys Toys.” Which is quite a mouthful. Much better to call them Pistol Bots. There are four of them. A gold one which transforms into a SIG SAUER P226, a gun-metal grey one that becomes a Berretta M92, a black one that transforms into an M1911 (Colt) pistol, and a silver one that becomes a Smith & Wesson Model 10 .38 Special. While the robot modes are less than stellar, the gun modes are spot on. Captain Kyle examines these toys to see exactly how cool they could be.

To get these mini transforming guns, check Ali Express here: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804726372462.html (There is another listing for the same robots at a much lower price, but with shipping that makes it exceed the price of the linked figures)

Please note these are not official Transformer toys and neither Hasbro nor Takara Tomy will assume any liability in regard to quality.

TRANSFORMERS J. BALVINTRON Special Edition Soundwave Review

Transformers has crossed over with J. Balvin to bring us the special edition Soundwave called J. Balvintron. This interestingly colored version of the original G1 Decepticon in charge of Communications. Captain Kyle goes through this redeco and sees if it’s worth putting in your collection.

This video is sponsored by those folks at 80stees.com. Use coupon code TOYSPOTLITE80 to get 30% off your order at https://www.80stees.com/

Soundwave is one of the most popular Transformers in history. He has had numerous reissues, new versions, and incarnations throughout almost all Transformer series. J. Balvin, who is a huge Transformers fan, loved the pitch of this exclusive edition of Soundwave, made with colors and designs inspired by his music career, style, and albums. While the base toy is very much a version of the original G1 Soundwave toy (with room for only one cassette, unlike the Toys’R’Us commemorative edition), it is very different in coloration and comes with the Siege Jetfire weapon, though also repainted. And very brightly colored blast effects. It also comes with Energia Buzzsaw and Vibras Stripes, a condor and a tiger respectively, as repainted cassettes based on Buzzsaw/Laserbeak and Ravage. Captain Kyle goes through this interesting piece and sees if it’s worth getting your hands on it.

If you’d like to get this special edition Soundwave, try eBay: https://ebay.us/KkKPFN
